Global Studies in Action: Problems and Prospects in Public Law

‘Global Studies in Action‘ is the panel organized every year by the PhD programme in Global Studies at the University of Macerata (Italy). This year, the problems and perspectives of public law in a global perspective are unfolded along five guidelines: 1) the tension between justice and maintenance of international peace and security with reference to China and the codification of the crime of aggression – 2) how public health challenges have become a way to improve countries‘ soft power through public diplomacy, with particular reference to the case of South Korea – 3) the concept of platformization, intended as the penetration of infrastructeres, economic processes, and governmental frameworks of platforms within the European legal system – 4) how organizations promote and maintain the highest degree of physical, psychological, and social wellness of workers during the pandemic – 5) how human rights, economic initiative, egalitarian claims are affected by the digital citizenship.
