Constitutionalism in Context I: Europe and Beyond

This panel of papers drawn from, and responding to, the new volume Constitutionalism in Context offers contextual and interdisciplinary perspectives on issues at the cutting edge of constitutional law and politics in Europe and beyond. The case studies and jurisdictions include nonjudicial constitutional interpretation (the Netherlands) – mechanisms of constitutional transformation and degradation (Hungary) – the vexing conceptual and practical issues surrounding citizenship and nationality in multinational and divided states (Cyprus) – the tension between the transnational migration of constitutional norms and the valorization of constitutional autochthony (Nepal) – and strategies for dealing with the distinctive pedagogical challenges of comparative constitutional law.
