CONSTITUTIONAL CHALLENGES IN THE ALGORITHMIC SOCIETY

Drawing on a three-year project conducted among the presenters, this panel illuminates the constitutional challenges related to the advent of the so-called “algorithmic society“ by looking at two aspects. Firstly, it is questioned how new technologies must be designed to support the maintenance and strengthening of constitutional democracy. Secondly, it is analysed how AI technologies must be regulated to avoid digital power concentration and foster the protection of fundamental rights.
