SUMMARY:REPRESENTANCE IN CRISIS. How psychoanalysis can fertilize the Law.
DESCRIPTION:Young people move away from politics\, the illusion of direct democracy lights up the general public: although social transformations highlight the crisis of representance\, the institutions of public life cannot be conceived without it. The panel will illustrate: 1) representance as a form as much of political\, economic and social life\, as of individual psychic life – 2) the crisis of its concept – 3) representance as a resource to overcome political crisis. A resource supported both by juridical analysis and by psychoanalytic science which\, starting from Freudian doctrine\, identifies psychic life as a normative-thinking life. Freudian discovery of the unconscious\, embraced and relaunched by Jacques Lacan and Giacomo Contri\, finds representance as the norm of psychic life. The exploration of representance in crisis shows the modernity of dialectic between agency and representation\, between private and public law\, up to the recent applications of representativeness in criminal trials.
