SUMMARY:Legislative statistics: what numbers can tell about the legislative process
DESCRIPTION:The quantity of laws enacted is considered a performance indicator of both legislative process and governmental policies. Legislative data\, in particular the legislative production\, its distribution by nature and subject-matter\, and the impact of European law in national law\, provide a wide range of information about public policies. From this information\, it is possible to draw some conclusions and forward proposals on the effectiveness and efficiency of current legislative practices and its compliance with constitutional rules\, as well as principles and regulatory impact assessments. This panel aims at showcasing different utilizations of legislative data to further research and the development public policies.
