SUMMARY:Judging in time of crisis: a comparative overview
DESCRIPTION:The pandemic has proven to be a stress test for constitutional systems around the world\, challenging the two pillars on which constitutional democracy are based: the protection of fundamental rights and the separation of powers. The panel will address\, in comparative perspective\, the mechanisms and the procedures adopted in order to judge the legitimacy of the crisis related measures during the Covid-19 emergency. The panel will cover five European jurisdiction: France\, Italy\, UK\, Spain and Portugal.
